- Profile
-
As an EdD student in the School of Education, I am currently undertaking a research project exploring the career journeys and trajectories of academics with working-class heritage. My supervisors are Dr Tim Herrick and Dr Darren Webb.
My research utilises a qualitative methodology, where I interview each participant three times, during on the tradition of transcendental phenomenology.
In my day job I am an Associate Professor at Leeds University Business School teaching ethics, CSR and sustainability across both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
I am a Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA), a Recognised Senior Advisor through the UK Advising and Tutoring association (UKAT) and a Certified Management Business Educator (CMBE) with the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS).
I have a particular interest in understanding how we can better support under-represented students and staff, and other interests around authentic pedagogy, career development and applied ethics.
Outside of work and study I play netball two to three times a week, spend time with my two cats, Luna and Nym, and have recently started attending ice hockey matches (Go Steelers!).
