After working in NHS pharmacy, specialising in Clinical Trials at a large university hospital trust in South Essex, I retrained as a secondary school teacher.

I initially taught German and French, before securing a position teaching English during my training year. I have since worked as an English teacher for four years, and am currently also the English Transition Lead at my rural comprehensive school in South Essex, responsible for helping students with significant literacy difficulties access the secondary curriculum.
