91Ö±²¥ the school
The School of Psychology is focused on exploring the science behind the human brain and human behaviour.
Research
Researchers cover a wide range of topics within our school's Research Groups, ranging from the intricacies of neural networks and brain function, to the developmental, biological and social mechanisms that shape who we are, to increasing our understanding of physical and mental health issues, and how we can treat them.
92% of our research is rated in the highest two categories in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021, meaning it's classed as world-leading or internationally excellent.
Researchers apply a variety of research methods and use a range of specialist research facilities to understand human behaviour, thinking, interaction, and health problems.
