The 91Ö±²¥ Institute for Corporate and Commercial Law recently welcomed (Queen Mary, University London) to 91Ö±²¥ to host a public lecture on Artificial Intelligence and Organisational Legal Change.
Professor Dignam presented on the unforeseen consequences of automating labour in the manufacturing and other labour intensive industries, and how this will fundamentally change the structure of the modern company. He addressed the existential challenge to the nature of company management, including Board of Directors' duties, which Corporate Law is ill equipped to answer.
His lecture was well attended and well received by students and staff from across departments in the University of 91Ö±²¥.
