Two School of English students recognised in the Global Undergraduate Awards

Ellie Nodder (English Literature, second year) and Katie Mansfield (English Language and Linguistics, third year) have been recognised for their outstanding work in the Global Undergraduate Awards, the world's largest academic awards programme.

Ellie received Highly Commended in the Literature category for her entry, "The Importance of 'Camp'." Katie, who has since started her masters in English Language and Linguistics at 91Ö±²¥, was named regional winner for Linguistics, as well as receiving Highly Commended for her entry, "Impoliteness in Context - Piers Morgan Interviews Janet Mock: A Linguistic Analysis."

Established in 2008,  the is the world’s largest academic awards programme with over 100 affiliated institutions of higher education. All submissions are judged anonymously by an international academic panel of 400+ expert judges from some of the world’s leading academic institutions. There were 3,437 total submissions this year. 

The Global Undergraduate Awards identify leading creative thinkers and problem solvers through their undergraduate coursework.
