As with the AFM suite, the laboratory is temperature controlled and suitable for work with category two pathogens.

Our aim is to develop and modify optical techniques in order to address specific biological problems. Techniques currently under development include:

  • STORM
  • SIM
  • confocal
  • FLIM
  • FRET
  • light sheet
  • quantitative phase imaging
  • spectral STORM
