Profile

I joined the Department of Sociological Studies in 2022. I received my MSc degree in Linguistics at the University of Edinburgh in 2021 and BA degree in English language and literature studies issued by Hong Kong Baptist University in 2020.

Research interests

Thesis title: ‘The Survival of the Marginalized Queer Identity on Social Media: Multimodal Narratives as Practices Across Chinese Queer Community’

My doctoral research explores the interaction of Chinese queer people on social media platforms through their multimodal storytelling and further investigate the identity construction of queer community, the culture of the community, as well as the social environment and platform limitations.
