- Profile
-
I joined ScHARR in 2023 as a NIHR School of Public Health Pre-doctoral Fellow. I previously worked for Public Health England (PHE) and later the Office of Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) on the topics of alcohol and gambling. I was a key member of the research team for the PHE evidence review on gambling-related harm and my final role was as the national evidence and delivery lead for gambling. Prior to this, I worked in public health practice at a local level in Scotland and delivered frontline services, primarily for drug and alcohol issues and sexual health.
I have skills in delivering qualitative research, rapid evidence review, needs assessment, and public and patient involvement. I am experienced in working with young people, which led to me working with Middlesex University on the Exchanging Prevention practices on Polydrug use among youth In Criminal justice systems (EPPIC project) and leading a research project to improve sexual health services for care-experienced young people for NHS Lothian.
