Rowan is a Research Associate in Econometrics at the University of 91Ö±²¥. Previously, he was a Lecturer in Economics and Econometrics at the University of Kent, where he also completed my PhD.
- Research interests

Rowan’s primary research interests lie at the intersection of applied economics, econometrics (theory and application), causal inference and machine learning. He also has applied research in health economics, environmental economics, and regional economics.
Rowan currently has several research projects. (1) The estimation and inference of both exogenous and endogenous causal parameters in the presence of spatial (cross-sectional) dependence of an unknown functional form, using machine learning. (2) Estimating the expected value of perfect parameter information by machine learning. (3) Reconstruction of latent network/spatial processes. (4) Estimating the causal effects of neuroticism on lifestyle. Finally, (5) evaluating the hospital quit smoking services across Yorkshire.
