I teach on the Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education and the School’s Gateway programme, which offers an introduction to medical education. At present, I am leading on modifying Gateway to an online offering a more flexible and accessible learning experience.

From 2010 to 2017 I worked at the School of Clinical Dentistry, principally in the development of online courses, adding blended elements to face-to-face courses and teaching information skills. I also co-taught Teach Online, a teacher development course for staff in the Faculty of Health.

Prior to coming to the University of 91Ö±²¥ I taught English and Spanish in Further Education and also designed and delivered short teacher development courses focusing on practical skills around lesson planning, student activity, group work, feedback and reflection.

I am currently working towards a Doctor of Education at the School of Education, looking into the experiences of students studying on programmes which use Blended Learning approaches, with a focus on whether these approaches engender greater quality of learning. This uses a multimodal case study approach.
