The Puck lite has applications in UAVs, mapping, security, robotics and industry. It has a 360o horizontal field of view and a ± 15o vertical field of view to catch data which includes distance and reflectivity measurements. It contains 16 channels, weighs 590g, and generates 300,000 points/s.
The Puck lite has a measurement range of up to 100m and a power consumption of approximately 8W, as well as dimensions of 103mm (diameter) x 72mm (height). The Velodyne Pucks are kept in the Pam Liversidge robot foundry, which also contains a small robot arena which can be used with the Pucks.
