Sarah has co-organised four Luxembourg Studies colloquia as well the #LuxUKLinks Exhibition in 91Ö±²¥â€™s Millennium Gallery. She spearheaded the PGR writing retreats and has organised PGR training workshops on ethnographic methods and on reflexivity in qualitative research.
Sarah has also made a strong contribution to the School’s teaching programme, convening and teaching the practical elements of Luxembourgish language and culture.
In 2019, she was shortlisted for the Students’ Union Best Postgraduate Student Teacher Award.
Sarah’s research comprises the analysis of language portraits and other artefacts created by primary-school children in Luxembourg.
She has presented her findings at many high-profile conferences, including the International Bilingualism Symposium in Edmonton in 2019 and the Sociolinguistics Symposium in Auckland in 2018.
