Joanna Kremer wins Prokhorov Prize for Outstanding Contribution to Research Culture

This year’s Prokhorov Prize for Outstanding Postgraduate Contribution to the Research Culture and Life of the School of Languages and Cultures has been awarded to Joanna Kremer.

Joanna co-organised the Forum for Germanic Language Studies Conference in 2012, the international Historical Sociolinguistics Network Conference in 2014, and the Twentieth-Anniversary Colloquium of the Centre for Luxembourg Studies in 2015.

She served on the editorial board of the Faculty postgraduate journal Track Changes and represented the Faculty at the Three-Minute Thesis competition. She received the 2015 University-wide Academic Award for Best Postgraduate Teacher of the Year.

In addition, Joanna, whose research on language testing and citizenship in Luxembourg is supervised by Dr Kristine Horner, has published or in press several articles on discursive approaches to language policy.
