Contact SSiD
SSiD is a key student service, answering a wide range of enquiries every day. We also aim to provide a comprehensive referral service in the very small number of cases where we are unable to assist directly.
SSiD will be closed for the Christmas vacation from 23 December 2024 to 1 January 2025.
We will not be responding to emails or processing document orders during this time.
Do not send multiple emails about the progress of your enquiry as this will delay our response time further.
Once we reopen on 2 January 2025 we will aim to respond to orders within 10 to 15 working days.

Open Monday to Friday, from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm.
Our live chat service is for staff, third parties and graduates who are unable to come onto campus.
Email service
Open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday, our email service is for students who are unable to come onto campus, eg students on placement, distance learners, etc.

We encourage you to come to the SSiD walk-in centre in the Students' Union for a quicker service (number 120 on the University Location Map).
Opening times
Opening times for graduate and third party enquiries will be:
- Monday: 9:30am to 4:30pm
- Tuesday: 9:30am to 4:30pm
- Wednesday: 10am to 4:30pm
- Thursday: 9:30am to 4:30pm
- Friday: 9:30am to 4:30pm
