- Profile
-
I am a doctoral student at Politics and International Relations Department at the University of 91Ö±²¥. Prior to joining the program, I have worked with several wildlife conservation organisations in India, with a particular focus on illegal wildlife trade. I am broadly interested in the intersection of wildlife conservation, social justice and securitisation. My research project is an extension of my professional experiences. Using the case study of rhino conservation in the Kaziranga-Karbi Anglong landscape in Assam, India, my thesis will aim to answer: 1) How conservation is practiced where competing claims over resources exist? 2) How conservation is negotiated in a multi-governance structure? 3)How does politics of conservation overlap with politics of sovereignty?
