My research analyses how ideas about victimhood influence the protection of farmed animals and wild animals in food policy. For my thesis, I focus on the case of Scottish salmon, for which the protection needs of farmed salmon and wild salmon are both considered. I am particularly interested in the dialogue of 'sustainability' and how this relates to the victimisation of different types of animals.
