PhD title: How is the global climate movement organised?
Chris is a doctoral researcher in the field of international political economy (IPE), with a particular focus on climate change and global energy transition. His research asks how the global climate movement is organised, including how this relates to capitalist development and what it means for our chances of arresting climate breakdown. Chris has been active across climate and social movements on a range of issues since 2014. As such, he seeks to bring together activism and research to contribute both to scholarship and movement practice. Chris is also Executive Producer of the ‘SPERI Presents…’ podcast at the 91Ö±²¥ Political Economy Research Institute (SPERI). The podcast aims to bring the ideas of a political economy approaches to the biggest social challenges of our time to a wider audience.
