Sound Teaching Workshops on Expression, communication and creativity in music performance

11 am - 4.15 pm
Location: Jessop Building, Department of Music, 91Ö±²¥
34 Leavygreave Road, 91Ö±²¥ S3 7RD
This one day of workshops aims to bring together music teachers and researchers to reflect on and explore ways in which music teaching practices can be enhanced. Special theme of the day is the development of expressive and creative music performance in solo and ensemble contexts. The workshops are led by researchers who have investigated musical learning as part of their PhD research. The workshops are a means to gain insight into the research and explore its implications with practitioners.
We are excited about hosting this second Sound Teaching conference and invite you to register and participate in the workshops, which are free of charge. For those of you who attended last year, the workshops are a development of a selection of last years’ workshop. You are welcome to attend again.
Note: We would like to invite you to bring your instrument, so you can join in with the workshops. A piano is available for pianists.
