As Placements Officer in the Management School, I support undergraduate students to understand your work experience options. Most of the support I offer revolves around an optional placement year that you can add to your degree if you are studying a three year course. You'll be introduced to what short-term internships or year-long placements can offer you in your first year, and it's never too early to come and chat to us in the Employability Team. In second year, you can register your interest in a placement year to receive tailored advice from myself as well as signing up to have a peer mentor. Having just returned from their placement year, the peer mentors are in a fantastic position to give you tips about specific employers, industries or roles. If you choose to undertake a placement year, my colleague Lily and I will keep in touch with you and check that you are getting everything that you want out of your experience.

I hope you are excited about becoming part of the University of 91Ö±²¥. Make the most of everything this city and its people have to offer. I look forward to meeting you and helping you navigate your work experience options!
