Profile

I am a part-time PhD student at the Institute of Work Psychology within the Management School. My career to date has spanned across clinical mental health and research roles. I am passionate about teaching and enhancing inclusivity in higher education as well as the work-wellbeing of academics, and have previously worked as an Assistant Lecturer in Business and Occupational Psychology. I am currently a Lecturer in Psychology at a UK HEI, and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, working towards Fellowship.

I am an enthusiastic scholar, with experience in qualitative and quantitative methodologies and dissemination in academic papers and conferences. I have previously won an award from the European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology for Best Poster - Delegates Choice.

My PhD will focus on the feasibility of occupational health psychology interventions, namely participatory organisational interventions, and how they can affect work engagement. This will consider interventions at the Individual, Group, Leader and Organisational level

Research interests

My research background has previously focused on mental health in secure settings. My main research interest concerns workplace wellbeing. In particular, I am interested in workplace wellbeing interventions that consider the Individual, Group, Leader and Organisational levels. I am primarily interested in researching participatory organisational interventions, that are tailored to contexts of the workplace.

I am also greatly interested in researching the demands and resources that influence workplace wellbeing, particularly in key workers.

I am also interested in the application of positive psychology to the workplace, particularly in the context of intervention outcomes.
