Member of The Dean's List, class of 2020

Stephanie’s place on the Dean’s List celebrates her unbelievably strong work ethic and passion for a career in Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability.

Developing a global outlook

Stephanie's volunteering ambitions took her to spend a summer supporting entrepreneurs in Uganda with Balloon Ventures, and back in 91Ö±²¥ she volunteered for local charity, Flourish, supporting the recovery of adults with brain injuries.

She completed an internship in Beijing at the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) as an Editorial and Research Intern, and studied abroad in Hong Kong during her second year where she greatly improved her language skills by learning to speak Mandarin Chinese. During her time in Hong Kong, Stephanie became an Enactus member and applied remotely for her placement year at SAP UK.

Going above and beyond

Stephanie completed a placement year as Chief Operating Office Associate and CSR Lead at SAP, where she was honoured with their impressive 'Purpose' award only six months into her appointment. She became a member of the Institute for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS), and attended the UN Business and Human Rights Forum in Geneva as part of the role.

After noticing alignments between the missions of SAP UK and Enactus, she spoke with the UK Enactus CEO to facilitate a partnership, and as a result she was invited to be a judge for Enactus at the annual National Exposition.

After her placement ended, Stephanie chose to continue working for SAP part-time as  Corporate Social Responsibility Lead, alongside completing her final year studies.

Next for Stephanie

Since completing her degree in 2020, Stephanie has worked as a Sustainability Consultant, and now works as a ‘Responsible Procurement, Sustainability and Risk Specialist’ at InterContinental Hotels Group. She is also undertaking a part-time Masters degree in Sustainability and Management at Royal Holloway, University of London.

In a voluntary capacity, Stephanie is a committee member for the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS) ‘Aspire Hub’, which is designed to support new CSR professionals and students looking to get into the industry.
