Mohamad has recently joined us as a Research Associate in Modelling Drinking Water Biofilm. His main focus involves developing codes using mathematical models and experimental data, collaborating with fellow colleagues for validation and calibration in Biofilm Modelling and Quantitative Microbial Risk Assessment (QMRA).
With a Ph.D. background in mathematical, numerical/experimental, and optimization
aspects of transient hydraulics in water transmission/distribution systems, his Master's thesis delved into optimizing water supply systems under various conditions using groundwater resources. He has also led practical industrial projects, including the development of a software system for enhancing water transmission pipeline design. His interests encompass hydraulic water pipeline systems, optimization, mathematical modelling, numerical methods, and data analysis, all of which he integrated into his programming skills in MATLAB, Python, and VB.NET.
