  • Support the Head of Department, Director of Teaching and Departmental Administration Manager in developing the teaching strategy
  • Support the Head of Department and Departmental Administration Manager in developing the student recruitment strategy
  • Support the Head of Department in the recruitment of academic and teaching staff
  • Manage all marketing, student admission, teaching and student support activities in the Department, which includes:
    • Admissions
    • Registration
    • Programme and module regulations
    • Timetabling
    • Examinations and assessments
    • Examination boards
    • External examiners
    • Student evaluation
    • Accreditation
    • Subject reviews
    • Alumni
  • Manage the staffing and activity in the Student Support Office, including the recruitment of support staff and delegation of duties
  • Manage the liaison between the Department, Faculty, central admissions and teaching-related professional services
  • Manage the accreditation process
  • Manage the administration of period teaching quality reviews
  • Manage the process for the the development and approval of new programmes and programme regulations
  • Manage the examination process across the Department, liaise with other departments and service Boards of Examiners
  • Provide secretarial support for the Teaching Committee
  • Deputise for the Departmental Administration Manager
  • Respond to immediate queries from staff and students at all levels
