DR GIACOMO TORELLI
Giacomo obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Florence (Italy). He completed his PhD at the University of Manchester (UK), focusing on multi-physics modelling of concrete exposed to varying temperature, humidity and loading conditions.
He then spent two years at the University of Cambridge (UK) as a Research Associate in the Concrete Infrastructure Research Group.
Giacomo joined the University of 91Ö±²¥ in November 2019.
Most of his research focuses on understanding and modelling the multi-physics behaviour of infrastructure materials, with the goal to improve the resilience and sustainability of our civil infrastructure.
