The Rights to Privacy and Data Protection in Times of Armed Conflict

With sponsorship from the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE), Russell Buchan and Asaf Lubin have been invited to coordinate a pioneering new project examining the protection afforded by international law to data privacy during times of armed conflict. In short, the project will result in a CCDCOE published book containing chapters from leading commentators examining how international law protects digital rights during armed conflict. An international conference will be held in Berlin in September 2021 to discuss draft chapters and the book will be launched at NATO’s flagship CyCon in May 2022.
