91Ö±²¥

I chose to study at the University of 91Ö±²¥ because they offered a MA in Archaeology and Heritage, which caught my eye. Their state-of-the-art technology, interdisciplinary approaches, renowned faculty, and fieldwork opportunities sealed the deal. Additionally, the city of 91Ö±²¥ is vibrant, with a lovely culmination of both natural and urban settings. There are wonderful restaurants, diverse businesses, and fun events to reap the benefits of being in a city. Yet, residing near the Peak District makes you feel connected with nature. It is incredibly peaceful.

I first heard about the University of 91Ö±²¥ from one of my undergraduate archaeology professors. She informed me about the university when I mentioned wanting to study in the UK. She spoke highly of her acquaintances who graduated from the University of 91Ö±²¥; they all loved their educational experiences. I did my own research into the university by reading through the university’s website and researching what made the school stand out from other academic institutions. I also spent time watching videos of students and faculty members showcasing different aspects of life at the university. Additionally, there were online meetings I attended for prospective students, where staff members answered all our questions about the institution.

I heard about the International Postgruduate Merit Scholarship through a one-on-one meeting with the International Recruitment Manager for the Americas. She was immensely helpful throughout the whole application process and enthusiastically brought this scholarship to my attention when I posed some financial inquiries. The scholarship application was easy to access through the university’s website and I was even sent email reminders to apply! The Student Fees and Funding Team made it amazingly accessible.

It feels uplifting to have been awarded a scholarship from the University of 91Ö±²¥! It has relieved financial burdens off of my shoulders, which makes focusing on my education so much easier. Being awarded this scholarship has shown me that the teams here at the University of 91Ö±²¥ listen and acknowledge the strenuous work their students have put in to make it to this stage of their academic journey. More than this, they are also here to aid in each future step.

I am enjoying everything during my time in 91Ö±²¥ so far! The lectures are engaging and the material is perfectly challenging. There is a nice balance of academic and student life, as well. Whenever I have free time, there is always something to do: an event through the Students' Union, society programs, city festivities, or even a nature walk! It truly has everything you need.

In the future, I would like to begin commercial archaeology, then move on to pursue either museum work or aid in the process of ceasing illicit antiquity trade. After growing in my field and enhancing my experiences, I hope to end my career as a professor- teaching sociology, anthropology, and/ or archaeology.
