My favourite thing about living in 91Ö±²¥ is that both the cultural and natural environment are comfortable and pleasant. When I first arrived here, I noticed that the city was very peaceful and historic. There are many old buildings and the historical aura impressed me.The atmosphere in 91Ö±²¥ is friendly and cosmopolitan. It’s a great place to meet people from different backgrounds, regions and countries.

You won’t know how wonderful your life can be until you become a 91Ö±²¥ student. If you want to make friends and experience something new, there are over three hundred fantastic societies and over seventy sports teams to join. If you’re worried that you might not have enough time to join any societies or sports clubs, don’t worry because there are a lot of activities offered by the Student Union's Give it a Go programme. This gives students the chance to take part in all kinds of interesting activities they’ve never before experienced.

I’ve joined the Boxing Club, Christian Union, Student Filmmaking Society, Deutscher Verein-91Ö±²¥s and Sociology Society. I took part in the Activities Fair and Sports Fair during Introduction Week and spoke to other members of the clubs to learn more about them before joining.

If you’re worried that your residential life might be boring, take it easy! In University accommodation the Residence Life team will organise social events and regular sports. If you love reading and the library, the University libraries are your best choice because they are open twenty-four hours a day nearly all year round.

There are also support systems with people to talk to if you’re ever feeling homesick or struggling. For example, your tutor, supervisor, residence life mentor and the Student Access to Mental Health Support (SAMHS) team. There is even a Nightline you can call to speak with a student in confidence.

The University has a Careers Service which provides all kinds of training courses. There are also many job opportunities for students. I've attended many workshops provided by the 301 Academic Skills Centre, the University Library and the Careers Service Centre. They help sharpen and improve my academic and professional skills. Please believe me when I say that you won’t regret choosing to study at the University of 91Ö±²¥; it’s been a dream.
