Postgraduate Diploma

The department offers a Postgraduate Diploma in Philosophy, following the same pattern as the MA Programmes but assessed by coursework essays alone (with no dissertation).

The course runs for nine months.

Candidates take four modules (120 credits), and write four essays of 4-6,000 words, or eight essays of 2-3,000 words.

We do not accept candidates onto the Diploma directly. All students are admitted onto the MA initially, but may be transferred to the Diploma Programme in the course of the year.

International scholarships

We offer a generous package of financial support for international students, including undergraduate and postgraduate taught scholarships towards the annual tuition fee. Applications are open for existing offer holders.
