Bo works on analytic metaphysics, especially on the metaphysics of states of affairs and their constituents: bare particulars and universals. At the University of 91Ö±²¥, he’s currently trying to defend his view of bare particulars in discussions with Eric Olson and Niall Connolly. Occasionally, he also forays into areas with a lot of applied value theory, e.g. environmental philosophy.

Bo has a long-standing interest in the education of Chinese university students and taught in Tianjin (2011–2012) and Shanghai (2012–2019).
