Alex McFarlane wins prize for best poster at prestigious U.S. conference

Alex McFarlane, whose research is focused on biofilm development in aircraft fuel distribution systems, has won a prize for best poster at the IASH 2015 14th International Symposium on Stability, Handling and Use of Liquid Fuels in Charleston.

IASH is the foremost international organisation devoted to all aspects of the stability, handling, and use of liquid fuels from refinery to end use and disposal. Alex was commended for the novelty of his research and clarity in presentation of the results.

He received his prize and commendation from the organising committee at the conference dinner. His poster was entitled How will novel fuels and materials impact microbial contamination in aircraft fuel systems?
