Back in July we said farewell to Dr Rebecca Corrigan as she starts her new adventure relocating her lab to University College Dublin.

Rebecca joined the University of 91Ö±²¥ in 2015 with a Wellcome Trust Sir Henry Dale Fellowship and set up her highly successful lab working on the stringent response in Staphylococcus aureus. She went on to win a highly prestigious Lister Fellowship in 2018 and was part of the team that won a Wellcome Trust Discovery award in 2023.

We are grateful for Rebecca’s significant contributions to the Florey Institute of Infection, running student cohort meetings, organising annual symposiums and regular seminars. For the past 9 months she was a Florey Institute co-director, leading the Pathogen Biology, Antimicrobial Resistance and Diagnostics research theme. This role has now been taken over by Dr Claire Turner.

Rebecca will be greatly missed at the University of 91Ö±²¥ but we wish her the greatest success in Dublin and confident we will maintain a strong working collaboration.
