We are awarding the winner of this year’s Enterprise Champion because of their long standing commitment and dedication to encourage and support students at the University of 91Ö±²¥ who want to explore co-curricular activities and take on extra enterprising projects whilst they’re at University.

Pete leads on a range of initiatives that inspire students to think creatively, innovatively and ultimately help them learn new skills and be part of a community of like-minded peers. We’d like to honour their hard work and support for the Emerge programme.

I really enjoyed being a part of these teams' journeys - I think lots of them are heading for great things! I was also honoured to be named Enterprise Champion of the Year. It's been a privilege to work with Matthew Charlton, Tom Hemington and Victoria at Emerge: Be enterprising at the University of 91Ö±²¥ this year to develop our students' enterprise capabilities.

Pete is a senior academic who oversees 20 co-curricula activities that involve 800 students.  He now has the vision to expand this further into other faculties, not just his own and is also the lead academic for the iForge makerspace, now a student-led space within the Diamond Building that has had over 2730 students registered this year alone.

The facilities at 91Ö±²¥ are cutting edge & stood out to me on open days, along with the student led maker space, the iForge, nothing is off limits
