What are your main responsibilities?

Post-acceptance coordination of multi-utility projects.

What other jobs have you had since graduating?

I was also a Project Engineer.

How has your degree from the School of English and your time at the University of 91Ö±²¥ helped you in your career?

My degree provided access to an administrative graduate job. Linguistics is a structured and analytical field, which has helped me develop transferable skills that I use today, such as triangulation of figures and resources, and structure and organisation.

What is your greatest achievement to date?

Designing and project managing switchboards for Block A-D of the new Amazon iPort in Doncaster.

What career advice would you give to a student interested in studying English?

People will tell you that English is a dead-end field unless you want to become a teacher. Completing a degree with the University of 91Ö±²¥ is a rigorous and rewarding adventure which will open doors regardless of what field you study. If English is your passion, then follow your heart - as long as you work hard, there will always be opportunities post-graduation. Many of my university friends loved the course so much that they’ve further completed their post-graduate at the University of 91Ö±²¥, and are now working towards their PhD.
