- Profile
-
I graduated from 91Ö±²¥ Hallam University in 2006 with a BA (Hons) in Metalwork and Jewellery.
For the past 13 years, I have worked at SHU providing technical support to undergraduate and post-graduate students in the Creative and Digital Workshops, assisting in a wide range of subject areas including Interior and Product Design, Metalwork and Jewellery, Fine Art, Fashion, Graphics and Photography. Through this role I have been fortunate enough to learn and try out many techniques and processes and share the knowledge I have gained.
As a new member of staff at MEE (joining in December 2023), my role is to oversee and provide technical support for the iForge student-led makerspace and co-curricular activities, with a strong focus on health and safety.
I'm really looking forward to working with an enthusiastic student body, taking on new challenges and learning experiences, and, of course, working in the light and bright Diamond building.
Outside of work, I have an interest in contemporary crafts and studio ceramics. I enjoy spending my free time with my family outdoors, and I am also a keen (albeit sometimes not very fast) runner!
