The open day was attended by delegates from industry and academia interested in the field of antenna and RF measurements. The EPSRC mm Wave Measurement Laboratory consists of a THz wafer probe station from MPI, 4 port network analyser from and the 110GHz antenna spherical 3D measurement robot from NSI-MI. The measurement systems allow the testing of antennas, on-wafer devices and circuits and RF systems on a large range of frequencies up to 110GHz. Eddie Ball (Reader in RF Engineering) and Steve Marsden (Technician) led short demonstrations of the equipment in use to show the innovative 3d measurement capabilities.
One of the first of its type the spherical 3D system is available for industry and academics to use for their research. For more information please watch the video below. If you are interested in this facility please contact Eddie Ball on e.a.ball@sheffield.ac.uk or visit
