Research interests

Panos’ research interests lie in the broad field of labour economics. His work focuses on labour markets characterised by trading frictions.

Using both applied theory and applied econometrics, often combined into structural modelling, Panos has examined a range of specific research questions, including the determinants of native-migrant wage differentials, the impact of the minimum wage on labour market outcomes, and the patterns of worker reallocation across firms and local labour markets.

Panos is interested in supervising PhD students in labour economics and applied econometrics.
