Funding

Off

All Home status trainees, recruited through the clearing house, will be salaried and employed by 91Ö±²¥ Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust on Band 6 of NHS Agenda for change pay scales.

We will no longer have places for international applicants who are self funding and we cannot accept applications from anyone without Home Fees Status.

Please see the following webpages for more guidance on eligibility for home fee status for EU applicants: /international/fees-and-funding/eu-students

Travel

Essential travel costs incurred as part of the Trainee’s role are reimbursed.  Travel from home to your place of employment is not covered.  Travel from your base (91Ö±²¥) to your placement is covered (if home to placement is a shorter distance then this lesser claim is covered), as is travel within the placement day.

Trainees are based, wherever possible, for a majority of their clinical placements within an area in commuting distance of the University.  This can, for some placements, involve significant commuting times, either due to urban congestion or the distance travelled.  The majority of placements involve some travel during the working day either between work bases or for domiciliary visits.  It is recommended that trainees take up residence in the South Yorkshire area.  Candidates must be prepared to move between any of the Trusts in the Region and occasionally to adjoining Regions for some placements.
