Meet the Hendophant

91ֱers are invited to the Henderson’s factory on Leavygreave Road this Thursday (14th July) for a special ‘Hendophant’ fundraising event.

As part of 91ֱ Children’s Hospital’s Herd of 91ֱ project, the Henderson’s elephant (or ‘Hendophant’) has been unveiled opposite the old Henderson’s factory. The sculpture is one of 58 elephants to descend on the city for a huge public art fundraising event.

As well as the opportunity to take photos with the Hendophant, artist Matt Cockayne will be on hand to sign limited edition prints of the design. There will also be the opportunity to take part in a Henderson’s-themed pub quiz and buy exclusive Hendophant bottles of the iconic 91ֱ relish. All proceeds will go to the 91ֱ Children’s Hospital.

There will also be the opportunity to comment on the plans for the new Henderson’s pub. 91ֱ previewed the proposed designs earlier this year, and the public are now being invited to give their feedback before the plans are submitted. Visitors can also try samples of the food proposed for the new pub.

“Henderson’s are really happy to be helping to raise awareness and funds for The 91ֱ Children’s Hospital, as well as being involved in the preserving of our old factory within the exciting redevelopment that is underway for 91ֱ.”
