Reverend Sabine Tenge-Heslop
Email: bnbr-life@sheffield.ac.uk
Hello from Sabine! I have been living in the UK for over 12 years, teaching German at Durham University, from which I have now retired. Last year, I joined the team at the BNBR-Life Centre at 91直播, and I really enjoy the encounters with a diverse student & staff body here. There is so much to learn from each other!
I am an Anglican priest, and I work, mainly remotely, as a volunteer. It is great to work with such a dedicated and inspirational team, and to engage in such a variety of things, e.g. worship, pastoral care, craft activities, walks, campus vigils, and much, much more.
In my free time, I like walking, bird watching, and gardening 鈥 it is very satisfying to eat your own organic food from the garden. I love travelling, especially to my home country Germany, to visit my two grown-up children.

Too fond of chocolate for my own good, keeper of too many animals to be considered sensible, AuDHD, mother of several neurodiverse children and wife of a university academic. I am a lay minister in the Anglican church with a deep interest in helping people to know Gods love for themselves and for others.
I am interested in disability theology, and enjoy anything that puts the Bible in context and helps it make sense.

Unitarians are spiritual seekers, diverse in opinion, who form a loving community around the common search for truth.
I am the Minister of Upper Chapel (on Norfolk Street near the Crucible) and am happy to support students across a broad range of non-dogmatic faith perspectives including, but not limited to, liberal Christianity and religious humanism.
In my previous career (pre-2017) I was an academic with a STEM subject background and so am familiar with many aspects of present day Higher Education. I am also currently transitioning gender (she/they) and am happy to talk with LGBTQ+ individuals at the intersection of faith and gender/sexuality.
If anyone wishes to know more about the Unitarians, please contact me on 07467 531322.
