Imaging Life Symposium

Congratulations to Bateson (Furley lab) member Basudha Basu on winning 2nd prize at the Imaging Life Symposium held at the University of 91Ö±²¥ on 18th September 2015.

A grey placeholder image with a cross through the middle.

Basudha's image shows a balance between proliferation and differentiation:  Granule neuron precursors in culture proliferate for a a time before switching to differentiation, forming mature granule neurons.

Ki67 marks the proliferating cells (pink) while the differentiating cells have neuronal processes marked with TujI (green). Nuclei are stained with DAPI (blue).
