James Wilson graduated with an MEng in Mechanical Engineering with a Year in Industry from the University of 91Ö±²¥ in 2019. He then began a PhD in model validation for structural health monitoring with the Dynamics Research Group at 91Ö±²¥, which he completed in 2023. James carried out post-doctoral research on the DigiTwin project, collecting a large-scale benchmark dataset from a BAE Systems Hawk T1A, and the ADSorB project, where he carried out an experimental programme to characterise thermal energy storage systems for applications in domestic heating systems.
James joined AMRC North West in 2024 as a Senior Project Engineer for Sustainability. He has worked on a large range of projects with commercial businesses in the North West region, including a significant number of small-to-medium enterprises.
