Alistair Beames published his first article titled "Sustainability appraisal tools for soil and groundwater remediation: How is the choice of remediation alternative influenced by different sets of sustainability indicators and tool structures?"
The article is a meta-analysis of sustainability appraisal DSSs for soil and groundwater remediation technology selection. The results generated by the tools differ from one another when applied to the same case study, due to differing indicator sets and aggregation methods. Certain crucial indicators, that would otherwise influence the results, are not always considered.
